Now I'm getting the chance to read books I didn't have time for before. Think of me whenever you see the slogan "So many books, so little time!" Now I've got the time. Cheers, Fred.
Many Worlds: the New Universe, Extraterrestrial Life and Theological Implications
- Book Type:

Steven J. Dick is the historian of science at the US Naval Observatory and an avid follower of cosmology, both physical and spiritual. This book has essays by 12 cosmologists - scientists or theologists, both religious and atheists.
Topics are the “new” universe, the possibility of extraterrestrial life and the theological implications of such. It has 3 parts, with 4 essays each. Part 1 is Origin and Evolution of Life. Part 2 is Humanity’s Place in the Cosmic Evolution. Part 3 is Extraterrestrial Life and Our World View. Essay 13 by Steven J. Dick introduces the new field of “Cosmotheology” to focus further discussion of these topics. I found some interesting new thoughts to ponder, such as Christ on other planets that have sentient life. This is a book I need to reread to fully digest all its diversity. It may prove worthwhile to look at works by some of the 12 cosmologists that this compilation has introduced me to.
